SETTING THE MARK

 

If I don't set a mark, no mark to recall

My dreams I'll accomplish, never walking, never fall
But if I set the mark right at my feet,

it doesn't take much, and then I'm in reach.

 

And if I set the mark closer, even closer to you,

I will have to stretch in order to view.

If I set the mark clear up to the sky,

just trying a little will teach me to fly

 

If I set the mark as high as the stars,

I may not reach it but I'm a winner by far.

Where have you set it, the mark for your life?

Have you set it real low or did you set it real high?

 

The highest goal ever to be reached

was set by Paul and thus we should teach.

It's the high calling of the Lord Jesus Christ

May we teach it and preach it until the day that we die.

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended:
