HOW DO YOU GAUGE YOUR LIFE?

   For the last two weeks I have been having trouble with my trucks instrument panel. It seems either all the controls work or  none of the controls work.

   Switching out all the fuses and putting a new battery on the truck didn't help. The bottom line is my truck is not trustworthy at this point. Until I can figure out what needs, it will continue to be untrustworthy.

   As we were driving to Midland the other day we had to guess at how fast we were driving. Wouldn't you know that we would pass two highway patrols and have to just hope we were within the speed limit. We did not get pulled over, so I think we were safe.

   Do you ever feel your life is like this?

   You may go through life feeling you have nothing with which to use as a guide. You may feel you have no direction.

   We need to word of God as the instrument panel in our lives. The word of God has all you need in it for every situation in life. The Holy Spirit will be our gauge. He will lead, guide us and comfort us.

   Thy word have I hid in mine heart,that I might not sin against thee. (Psalm 119:11)

   For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (Romans 8:14)

   How often do you look to your spiritual instrument control for guidance?

   We need the word of God to show us if we are moving in the wrong direction, going too fast or to slow. When we look to the Spirit of God for our guidance, then he will faithfully lead us.

   He will not be like the instrument panel in my truck that only works part of the time. He is faithfully there.

   Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering;

(for he is faithful that promised;)(Hebrews 10:23)
