A HEART OF PURSUIT

The Lord is pursuing you. He has done this for quite some time. You were created in His image, to be like him. He has longed to be your companion, friend and comforter.

It is one thing for him to pursue you but it's quite different for you to pursue him. Have you ever longed to pursue after the Lord? It can be a life changing event.

Have you ever been in a relationship where you began to pursue after someone?

There seems to be something missing unless that person shows you interest also. You can dress up, spend time talking with them, and even cook meals for them, and them continue not seeing your interest. After some time you might eventually give up.

Jesus Christ took his pursuit for you to the extreme. He didn't ask you to leave your father, he left his. He walked upon the dry dusty earth in order to pave the way for you to have eternal life. He went so far as to die on the cross for you. "Hello! Do you not see what all he has done to pursue a relationship with you?"

He isn't like a earthly friend; he doesn't give up and walk away.

You may have longed for this relationship for quite some time not even realizing the very thing you need to do is pursue the Lord. Let's take time out of our daily schedule to begin this pursuit for God.

But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. (Deuteronomy 4:29)
