Have you ever noticed how the bird lives?
This little creature goes from day to day,
never storing up food for the next day. They
gather the food for that one moment and make
sure their nest is safe for the time being.
Singing merrily as they do so. Thus filling
our lives with joy, just listening to the melodic
sound. Content just being what God created
them to be.

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow
not, neither do they reap, nor gather
into barns; yet your heavenly Father
feedeth them. Are ye not much better
than they? Which of you by taking
thought can add one cubit unto his
stature? And why take ye thought
for raiment? Consider the lilies of
the field, how they grow; they toil
not, neither do they spin: And yet I
say unto you, That even Solomon in
all his glory was not arrayed like
one of these.
Matthew 6:26-29
If we could only learn to trust our
heavenly father to meet our needs
as he does for the birds of the fields.
If we could learn to focus on what is
truly important instead of focusing on
superficial unimportant things. Doing
so, might create a melody in our own
hearts that would overflow into the
lives of people around us.
Instead, we focus so much on the
unimportant issues in life, that we
tend to leave out the important issues;
the very things God created us to do
and be. In doing so, we find our
joy has also been drained away
by the very thing we thought would
bring us contentment.
Maybe it's time to change our focus and
look to the one who created us in His very
image to perform great and mighty things
for the kingdom of God.
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the
ends of the earth: for I am God and
there is none else.
Isaiah 45:22
