WAITING FOR MY PRINCE TO COME

And I saw heaven opened, and
behold a white horse; and he that
sat upon him was called Faithful
and True, and in righteousness
he doth judge and make war.
Revelation 19:11

Last night I went to bed with a heavy
heart  This last year we have heard
of many who have turned their lives
around after searching for many years
for happiness.  They searched for
it in the swamps that had been
painted on the top surface to
appear very beautiful.  They not
only swam in the swamps but
many of them have swam to
the depths of those pools.

As they plunged into the pool
looking for happiness they soon
found it was not on the top surface.
Instead of getting out of the pool,
they dove deeper into the water.

Why, you might ask did they
dive deeper?  The answer is the
the pool had been painted an
iridescent carnival blue and
early in life they had learned to
run after those fairy-tales in
search of their prince.

Each time they plunged deeper into
the depths of this pool, it brought
forth a deeper dissatisfaction and
once again, instead of climbing out
of the pool they began to pick up the
mud they found laying around the
edges and started slinging it at anyone
who tried to help them find their way
out of the muck and mire of life.

They look at our lives and throw
it up into our face, "You have waited
and waited for your Prince to come
and where is he?  You have sat and
do not enjoy the aroma of all the
pleasures of life around you in wait
for your Prince, but,  "Is he to be found? "
How can you judge me for enjoying
the wait instead of sitting and gazing
at the sky in wait of this one who
never seems to come?"

I must say many years ago, I
also was tempted to dive into
the enchanted waters and join those
basking inside of this iridescent
intoxicating carnival blue pool,
as it seemed much more appealing to
me than sitting and waiting for my
Prince to come.  It seemed almost
daily I would watch other believers
plunge into the ebullience wooing depths
and they seemed to be enjoying life to it's
fullest while I sat and waited for what
others began to say, "Our fairy-tale Prince."

As time has passed I have watched
those people swim deeper and
deeper looking for something I
surely thought they had found the
moment they dove into these inviting
 warm waters.  Instead the satisfaction
was only a temporary satisfaction.

As the waters began to chill around
them they could only remember the
warm spa feeling they received the
first time they entered the waters.
Now that they keep diving deeper
they can't even see the trail of
tears they are leaving behind from
their children who are watching
them drown in the carnival blue
pool.

The sisters and brothers,
mothers and fathers, aunts and
uncles can see plain as day this
person is drowning but the person
themselves throw out more mud
and scream to be left alone as they
too are in search of their prince
in these waters they have entered.

As I prepare to decorate my grand-
daughters fairy-tale Disney seventh
birthday cake,  I can understand why
so many people fall for this desire to
be taken away into this fairy-tale
world.  It is one filled with a sense of
total satisfaction and ecstasy.  One
where we do not have to deal with the
sink over-flowing, the toilet needing
cleaned, the battery on the car not working
properly and the bed needing to be made
for the day. It is a land where we can
lay back and enjoy life right inside this
hair raising, filthy dirty world we live in.

What happens when we enter the carnival
blue pool is the same thing that happens
when you pick up a carnival blue glass
and look through it-everything becomes
distorted.

I listen to people talk about how
perverted so and so is or how could
this person possibly not see the way
they are living their lives is causing
ripple effects that could take years
of counseling for their dear children
to overcome.  Yet, they  themselves
can't see, they are swimming in the
same pool as this very person they
are referring to, the difference is-they
just haven't swam as deep into the
waters as the other person.

Each day at 4:30 PM my alarm
goes off and I pray for some precious
people who believed the carnival blue
pool and fluffy cotton candy of
this life will soon become a reality
to them.  I pray they may see that
staying in those waters too long has
caused their lives to swivel up and
waste away and the cotton candy
pleasure of this life has only
caused them to become worldly fat,
ugly and be diseased with pride,
anger, arrogance, hatefulness, and
loneliness.  I pray they find, the depth of
their empty heart can never be filled-no
matter how deep they dive into this
pool that is wooing them to come
a little deeper to find their pleasure.
I pray they soon find the heart just can't
seem to ever find this satisfaction
they are in search of.  I pray instead of
swimming in the carnival blue iridescent
waters that has distorted their view, they
will come to shore, wrap themselves
in the perfect peace of Jesus Christ, To
sit on the banks for awhile, and to watch
and wait for the True Prince to come.
While doing so, I pray they can see-
they themselves can help others out
of the fairy--tale waters onto the
shores where real peace is found.
A peace that causes others to
celebrate their wholeness instead of
worry about them drowning in the
falsehood this world seems to be
distorting everyone's eyes with.

I pray they will follow the truth which
causes their family members to
bathe in contentment that their lives
too, will be alright.  That they will
no longer be eating of the pleasures
of destruction but from the table
of righteousness, holiness and purity.
The table that causes us to gain souls
for the eternal kingdom and not become
worldly fat-filled with all the worldly
attributes.  I pray we all begin together,
to learn the attributes of our Prince who
one day will come for us, as he is called
Faithful and True, and Righteousness.

As I shared at the top of this blog, I went
to bed with a very heavy heart, but this
morning I had a song on my heart.  It was
a song that those I am praying for will find
their Prince one day.  Then we together
will be able to walk on streets of gold and
enjoy the beauty-not a faily-tale beauty,
but the real beauty of the King of Kings.

WAITING FOR MY PRINCE TO COME

Revelation 21:7 - 22:7

7  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
9  And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife.
10  And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11  Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12  And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13  On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14  And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15  And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16  And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17  And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
18  And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19  And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20  The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21  And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22  And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23  And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24  And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25  And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26  And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27  And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
1  And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2  In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3  And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4  And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
5  And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
6  And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
7  Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
