peoples business when they are having
a disagreement. But recently was one
of those times.
A man was having a discussion with a
lady about where to have lunch. They
were not married, just friends. He was
telling her where they were going to
eat and she was in disagreement. He
became a little more persistent and
again she disagreed. He pressed
a little harder to get his way and
she spun around and said, "Who's
car are you riding in,
mine or yours?" He answered,
"Yours."
Then he made the comment, "You
sure are bossy!"
Enough said, it was my time now.
I said something to him about
the way he was responding and
he said, "Well she's just so bossy
and will not listen to me."
My response, "She is not bossy young
man, she is a LADY with personality
and you need to learn the difference.
It's not always easy being a woman
in such an aggressive culture that we
live in. Some men have learned that
if you can think for yourself then
you are bossy.
I don't believe the Lord intended for
ladies to be stupid and follow along
with everything that they are told to do.
I also do not believe in Women's Lib,
as I feel it has forced many women
into being a slave to their jobs instead
of being able to care for their family.
I work a full time job since my
children left home and I can tell you,
it's not always easy meeting the
deadlines, keeping up with all the
things we must.
What I do believe a woman
should be is:
Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to
your own husbands; that, if any obey
not the word, they also may without
the word be won by the conversation
of the wives;
I Peter 3:1
Seek the LORD and his strength,
seek his face continually.
I Chronicles 16:11
The aged women likewise, that they
be in behaviour as becometh holiness,
not false accusers, not given to
much wine, teachers of good
things; That they may teach the
young women to be sober, to
love their husbands, to love
their children, To be discreet, chaste,
keepers at home, good, obedient to
their own husbands, that the word of
God be not blasphemed.
Titus 2:3-5
We find women all throughout the
scripture who worked in the fields,
minded garments, sold fields,
tended to matters outside the
home.
So being a woman of personality
isn't a bad thing but it may make
a man who is wanting to
have his way angry.
We all need to know the
difference in being bossy
and a woman of personality.
Who can find a virtuous woman? for
her price is far above rubies.
The heart of her husband doth safely
trust in her, so that he shall have
no need of spoil. She will do him
good and not evil all the days
of her life. She seeketh wool, and
flax, and worketh willingly with
her hands. She is like the merchants’
ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
She riseth also while it is yet night,
and giveth meat to her household,
and a portion to her maidens.
She considereth a field, and buyeth
it: with the fruit of her hands
she planteth a vineyard. She girdeth
her loins with strength, and
strengtheneth her arms. She perceiveth
that her merchandise is good:
her candle goeth not out by night.
She layeth her hands to the
spindle, and her hands hold the
distaff. She stretcheth out her hand to
the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her
hands to the needy. She is not afraid
of the snow for her household: for
all her household are clothed with
scarlet. She maketh herself coverings
of tapestry; her clothing is silk and
purple. Her husband is known in
the gates, when he sitteth among the
elders of the land. She maketh fine
linen, and selleth it; and delivereth
girdles unto the merchant. Strength and
honour are her clothing; and she shall
rejoice in time to come. She openeth her
mouth with wisdom; and in her
tongue is the law of kindness. She
looketh well to the ways of her
household, and eateth not the bread of
idleness. Her children arise up, and
call her blessed; her husband also,
and he praiseth her. Many daughters
have done virtuously, but thou
excellest them all. Favour is
deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a
woman that feareth the LORD, she
shall be praised. Give her of the
fruit of her hands; and let her own
works praise her in the gates.
Proverbs 31:20-30
