COME TO THE TABLE - PART IV - THE VEIL

THE VEIL

When Jesus Christ died, the veil of the temple was torn from the top to the bottom.  This veil was about four inches thick.  Our father was telling us two things here.  We can boldly come into the Holy of Holies freely now.  Prior to that time only the priest could enter into the Holy of Holies but now we are allowed to come boldly before the throne of God.

When looking at the veil in the Jewish ceremonies, we see that Jacob was deceived by the veil and that instead of getting married to Rachael, he ended up getting married to Leah and having to work seven more years in order to have Rachael for his wife.  As the veil in the temple was torn from the top to the bottom, we see that we not only can come boldly to the throne of God but there is no deception that will take place as we enter into this covenant.  We are able to fully see the groom and see his love for us and experience it fully in a pure holy way with no deception of what we are getting into.

MATTHEW 28:51
And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain
from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake,
and the rocks rent:  And the graves were opened;
and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
And came out of the graves after his resurrection,
and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
