THANH'S STORY PART IV

Today while driving to work I began to ponder on something that Thanh had shared with me and a new thought came to my mind.  He shared that now he has a car and although it is difficult he takes his mother to work every morning and then he drives a different direction in order to get to his job. For him to be able to do this he has to get up very early, yet this is something he desires to do for her.

As he takes his mother to work, Thanh will be able to share Jesus Christ with her and help her understand this wonderful thing he has found in his life. As he does this each day, we need to pray for him that the words he shares is exactly what she needs in order to understand and come to Christ

As I was pondering on this thought I began to think about pollination and realized how important it is for each of to be careful the words that we speak,  We should be careful not only to those we are trying to witness to but also to the people we are not trying to witlessness to.  Even though we may not realize it, we are taking little drops of our life and placing it on top of every person's life that we come in contact with.  This is much like the butterfly or the bee does to the flowers it touches.

Just as the pollen from the butterfly assist in helping develop the seeds in a flower so are our lives when it touches those around us.  It will pollinate those lives and will have a huge effect on the seeds that come from this plant.  The pollen you place on someone's life may be that of righteousness or it could be that of destruction.

As I began to see this picture in my mind I realized what a beautiful thing Thanh is getting to do every day as he goes home and reads the Word of God, hides it in his heart, then the next day he takes those words to his mother and plants seeds into her life.  As he is planting those seeds he knows he has people from our church and Digging a Well Ministries praying for him that one day we will see the harvest of his mother and other family members and we will be able to celebrate in this beautiful thing that the Lord is doing.

What are you pollinating the lives you come in contact with?

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,  Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. But ye have not so learned Christ;  If so be that ye have heard him,  and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:  That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;  And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;  And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.  Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.  And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Ephesians 4:15-32
