Do you ever wonder how the Lord finds you
in all the massiveness of the universe?
There are so many people living in the world
right now, that if I were looking for someone not
having a map, a cell phone, or their address,
it would take me a year to locate them.
Yet the Lord sees you in all the clutter and
he calls you out.
He knows your name and knows
the plan he has for your life.
He has equipped you with the very
thing that will help someone else
on their walk in life. He moves
in and through you and strums the
chords within your soul to bring
forth the necessary things in your
life to draw you closer to his
presence, not only for Himself
and for your walk; but for those
your life will touch.
Does that mean that we always listen?
No, because each of us has our own
will and desires. Many times we
find ourselves putting our will and
our desires above His.
Just this week I felt compelled to
write on my blog and then I said to
myself, "people are probably getting
tired of seeing my blogs and post. I
made a conscious choice not to listen
to the Lord. Fifteen minutes passed
and I was singing a song and enjoying life.
I heard that still small voice wooing me to
listen, I once again pushed it aside. After
about forty five minutes of pushing it aside,
I realized my day would be unfulfilled if I
continued to push him aside.
I finially stopped and listened to His call.
How does he even find me in this vast city?
How can he speak to my heart and yet be
speaking to thousands of others at the
same time? How does he know that
I am straying from his presence? How
does he so gently touch my heart and
bring me back to the place I am willing
to listen to his voice?
He does this because He is the designer. He
created you and I. He holds the manual
in His hands and desires to keep you
close to His heart.
Will you listen to His call?
Isaiah 43:1-2
But now thus saith the Lord that created thee,
O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel,
Fear not: for I have redeemed thee,
I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
When thou passest through the waters,
I will be with thee; and through the rivers,
they shall not overflow thee:
when thou walkest through the fire,
thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame
kindle upon thee.
Even every one that is called by my name:
for I have created him for my glory,
I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
